2015-10-09 It seems that the actual start times for SJBP and Bike Soiree rides are iiarecsnngly slipping farther away from the posted start times. Last test ride started 40 minutes after that posted. Thirty minutes is significant. Twenty minutes is a lot. Ten minutes is appropriately accommodating for those a bit late, and respectful of those planning things after the ride, in my hum*myliu nemokami-zaidimai.lt * opinion.I'm an extreme procrastinator. I like the time padding, but often feel the group is itchin' to start way before we actually do. I find myself iiarecsnngly banking on a much later actual start, and that's dangerous for anyone with my temporal affliction. So I'm respectfully calling on ride leaders for truth in advertising regarding start times.If this earlier than usual start time is to accommodate an anticipated 30-40 minute delay, that should be posted. If there will be a meeting or presentation before a start, please mention it. I know first hand how difficult it is to get the group going. Like herding cats. If your frame has this dimension then, allowing for chain line, a fixed wheel will fit into your machine.If the frame is made of half decent steel, the rear drop outs can be cold set. Make sure that the drop outs remain square.Talking of drop outs, you will need at least semi vertical drop outs so that chain adjustments can be made. Traditional fixed wheel bikes have track ends that are horizontal drop outs'.You can't use a chain tensioner with a fixed wheel bike.You will also need a single chain ring. These can be converted from a multi geared chain set and I would advise the purchase of suita*myliu nemokami-zaidimai.lt * chain ring bolts for a single chain ring.Chain line is very very important. 2015-09-28 I never thought foildng bikes were for me either. Small wheels and the fact that half the parts are specific to just that bike (makes it a lot harder to repair) were a big turn off. However, you should take a look at . They make folders that still use full size wheels and standard parts. They're certainly the best looking and best performing foildng bikes. And they have both road and mountain bikes. Just something to consider since you are riding the subway!
